Why use Stone Cold Mail, and not some other email system?
| What I've done | Why you'll like it |
| Kept it simple | Makes it easy to use |
| A de-spammer, which will stay ahead of the spammers | Less junk for you to wade through |
| No advertising on this site | No pop-ups, no extra windows, no flashing banners |
| 25 megabytes for your mailbox | You lose less mail with "mailbox full" |
You'll use the same username and password that you use on the rest of the web site. If you're using a silly name, then change it now. So, if your web site username is JimDoe, then your email address will be JimDoe@stonecoldmail.com
If you change your username after you start using the email system, then you'll lose all the email you had under the old name. because I don't want other people to be able to read your mail, if they pick the name you used to have.
To start with, everything, including spam, is put into your INBOX. You can create folders. As soon as you create a folder called "spam", the de-spammer starts working, and from then on, anything that it thinks is spam, is put into that folder. Of course, the de-spammer cannot always get this right. Maybe you really do want to discuss cable descramblers and natural alternatives to Viagra with your friends. If you don't like the de-spammer, then delete the "spam" folder, and then all email will go to your INBOX again.
If you get sent any email that includes .exe, .pif, .scr or .bat, then it will be discarded (many viruses travel that way) unless you create a folder called "executable", in which case it will be delivered into that folder (maybe you really do need to receive en exe file).
Everyone must read, and agree to, the terms and conditions of use.
